Wow, what an AWESOME group we had tonight. Yeah, we weren’t blowing the doors out of the West End Grill, but we Doubled In Size again this week! Fantastic chatter around the table about our blogs, online activity, paranoia, php / mysql… just some good ‘ol stuff!
One subject that got a little traction was the topic of, um… topics. No, really! So far we’ve spent our meetups getting to know one another. As we continue to grow we’re thinking that having some scheduled topics might be a good idea. You know, the whole Power Point karaoke thing… what?… You haven’t heard of Power Point Karaoke? {grinning…} Well you’ll just have to come see that!
Be on the lookout for a new post in the next day or two regarding format and topic suggestions!

Thanks for organizing this, Thom! I had a great time and was impressed with the level of interaction. We all came from different backgrounds and seemed to have different blogging goals but many common issues. I think everyone provided at least one of the answers, so it was a true group event. I’ll be back

Dave, glad you made it too! It was really fun having a full table! It sounds like you may have some experience / interest in some of the same areas I’ve worked. Can’t wait to find out more!

Sorry I missed the meeting tonight – I hope to make my initial vist next week. I’m new to town, so I’m just getting settled in. I’m an architect and have returned to Alabama (my home state) for a new job. I look forward to meeting all of you.
